Report a mistake in a pin
If a pin gets something wrong, please tell us. It helps to include:
- the pin’s title or its link (use the Share button on the pin)
- what you think is wrong: the date, the place, the facts or the sources
- a link to a report or statement that shows the correct version, if you have one
The owner reads every correction request and decides what changes. When a pin is corrected, the owner approves a new version, and the old version stays in the public approval ledger. A pin can also be withdrawn. How It Works explains this under “Trust and corrections”.
If you are named in a pin
A pin records what news outlets and police reported about an incident, attributed to whoever said it. It is not a finding about anyone. If you are named or can be identified in a pin and believe it is wrong, out of date or unfair, email us with the pin’s link and what you would like reviewed. We will check it against the sources and tell you what we decided.
